Popsicle machine freezes ice-pops in few minutes using a tank of super-chilled Propylene Glycol + Water.  RXSOL Propylene Glycol is pure and suitable to use in ICE freezing machine.

Due to the presence of Propylene Glycol in Popsicle machine freezing takes place so quickly, the ice-crystals that are formed during the process are much smaller than when I used to freeze down overnight in a commercial freezer.

Popsicles freezing fluid

In early stage mixture of water and salt to freeze the molds in popsicle machines.which is very corrosive as salt destroyed many parts of the machine and its surroundings.

Then Alcohol replaces the brine, but it is highly flammable.

Modern science replaces flammable and corrosive materials with propylene glycol. This product has the disadvantage of needing to be mixed with water and ends up being too viscous at low temperatures, making it difficult to flow.

NOTE : Time to time Glycol fluids have tendency to absorb water from the environment and from molds (which are dipped in hot water for detaching process, in conventional machines). The increase of water in the freezing fluid significantly slows the popsicles solidification.
