How to use RXSOL MPG Antifreeze Heat Transfer Liquid

  • Proper Mixing Ratios – It’s essential to use the correct glycol-to-water ratio for your system. Too much glycol can decrease the heat transfer efficiency, while too little may not provide adequate freeze protection. Most systems use a RXSOL MPG Antifreeze Heat Transfer directly in their chillers or dilute it in the ratio of 6 parts RXSOL MPG Antifreeze Heat Transfer to 4 parts Distilled Water, depending on the operating temperature.
  • Regular Testing – Over time, the Antifreeze concentration can change due to system leaks or water evaporation. Regular testing of the glycol mixture ensures that the fluid retains its protective properties.

What is meant by “soap lubricant” for chain conveyors

 

Typical dilution

 

For most chain conveyor soap lubricants:

0.5 % – 2.0 % in water

 

Practical range:

 

Condition Recommended dilution

Normal indoor conveyors 0.5 – 1.0 %

Long conveyors / high load 1.0 – 1.5 %

Dry environment / high friction up to 2.0 %

 

Example

1% solution = 10 ml soap lubricant in 1 litre water

 

Standard operating procedure (SOP)

 

1. Check the conveyor condition

 

Before dosing:

  • Remove heavy dust, sand or sticky deposits
  • If very dirty : wash with neutral or mild alkaline cleaner and rinse
  • Soap lubricant must be applied on a clean chain.

 

2. Prepare the lubricant solution

 

In a clean mixing tank:

  • Fill required water
  • Add soap lubricant slowly
  • Mix gently (no heavy agitation required)

 

Important:

  • Use soft water if possible
  • Very hard water can reduce lubricity

 

3. Set the dosing system

 

Use either:

 

  • central lubrication unit
  • spray manifold / drip lubrication line
  • Set feed so that:
  • chain surface becomes slightly wet
  • not flooded
  • Over-application attracts dust and causes slipping.

 

4. Apply during running condition

 

Always apply:

while conveyor is running

Spray or drip onto:

  • chain pins
  • rollers
  • sliding tracks (if plastic or SS bed)

 

Avoid spraying directly on:

  • motors
  • sensors
  • belts (if mixed system)

 

5. Allow spreading

 

After first application:

  • Run conveyor for 5–10 minutes
  • This allows the soap film to:
  • spread along the chain
  • penetrate pin / bush areas

 

6. Adjust to minimum effective dose

 

Correct condition is:

  • chain runs quietly
  • no jerking
  • no visible dry friction
  • no excessive foam or puddling

 

Reduce dosing until you reach:

  • lowest feed rate that still gives smooth movement

 

Daily / shift operation

 

Keep dosing ON only when line is running

 

Visually check:

  • chain shine
  • smooth travel
  • no sticky build-up

 

Weekly check

 

Inspect for:

  • soap residue on frames
  • dirt accumulation
  • If residues form reduce concentration or dosing rate
