Application

RXSOL-81-8197-220 is used as an absorbent in gas treating processes for several reasons:
 
CO2 Absorption: CO2 Absorber RXSOL is effective in selectively absorbing carbon dioxide from gas streams. It reacts with CO2 to form a stable compound, which can then be regenerated to release the captured CO2.

Technical specification

RXSOL-81-8197-220 is a colourless, slightly viscous liquid with a mild amine odour. It is miscible with water, alcohols, and aromatic hydrocarbons but relatively immiscible with aliphatic hydrocarbons and ethyl ether.
