Sodium Hyposulfite is an inorganic compound with the chemical formulaNa2S2O3. It is a white crystalline powder that is highly soluble in water and in turpentine oil The primary use of sodium thiosulfate is as a reducing agent.

Sodium Hyposulphite also use as a fixing agent in photography, for film development and extraction of silver from its ores.

Uses of Sodium Hyposulfite:
Photography: Used as a fixing agent in photographic film development to dissolve unchanged silver halides. 
Water Treatment: Used to remove excess chlorine from water, making it safe for aquariums, swimming pools, and other uses. 
Analytical Chemistry: Used in iodometric titrations to determine the concentration of iodine. 
Reducing Agent: Sodium hyposulphite can be used to reduce various substances, including oxidizing agents like chlorine and iodine. 
Industrial Applications: Used in the bleaching and paper-making industries, as well as in the treatment of textiles. 
Medical Applications: Used as an antidote for cyanide poisoning and to treat some side effects of chemotherapy.
