Tri ethylene glycol also known as TEG or triglycol is a colourless, viscous, odourless, non-volatile liquid with the formula C6H14O4. 

Tri ethylene glycol is well known for its hygroscopic quality and its ability to dehumidify fluids. It is used as a plasticizer for vinyl polymers. It is also used in air sanitizer products. When aerosolized it acts as a disinfectant.
