Sodium Thiosulfate is a white crystalline solid which is odorless and highly water soluble. Sodium thiosulfate is an important inorganic salt with several medical uses. It is also called sodium hyposulfite or 'hypo'. The chemical formula of sodium thiosulfate is Na2S2O3. Sodium thiosulfate is used in several pharmaceutical preparations and also has various medical properties.

Uses :

Activated Alumina is aluminum oxide in the form of very porous spheres. Activated alumina is useful in cleanup of toxic wastes and rain water runoff from contaminated areas also wash contaminants such as arsenic and lead into ground water from mining operations. Activated alumina can dry air and other gases that have a high humidity therefore it is used for dehydration and purification in the manufacturing of hydrogen peroxide, natural gas and gasoline. 

Formaldehyde is a simple organic compound with the formula CH2O (H-CHO). Formaldehyde is an important precursor to many materials and chemical compounds. Formaldehyde can be useful as a disinfectant as it kills most bacteria and fungi and can preserve the shape of a specimen by bonding with proteins and DNA.

Formaldehyde is used predominantly as a chemical intermediate. It also has minor uses in agriculture, as an analytical reagent, in concrete and plaster additives, cosmetics, disinfectants, fumigants, photography, and wood preservation.

Sodium Hypochlorite is the main ingredient in laundry bleach. In the petrochemical industry, it is used in petroleum products refining.

In food processing, sodium hypochlorite is used to sanitize food preparation equipment, in fruit and vegetable processing, mushroom production, poultry production and fish processing.

Bromocresol Green (BCG) is odourless, pH sensitive triphenylmethane dye with formula C21H14Br4O5S. It is sparingly soluble in water and soluble in ethanol, ether, ethyl acetate. It belongs to a class of dyes called sulfonephthaleins.  

It is used as a pH indicator in applications such as growth mediums for microorganisms and titrations also in variety of colorimetric detection technologies, sol-gel matrices and the detection of ammonia.

Acetic Acid (CH3COOH) is acid that gives vinegar its characteristic taste. The pure acetic acid is a colorless viscous liquid or glassy solid. A colorless pungent liquid acid that is the chief acid of vinegar and that is used especially in synthesis and occasionally in medicine as an astringent and styptic.
