CHOLINE CHLORIDE
CHOLINE CHLORIDE Feed Grade Generally classed as a B-complex vitamin (sometimes referred to as vitamin B4) choline influences the metabolism of carotene and vitamin A in animals.
Choline is indispensable for a number of fundamental processes in the body. Although a natural ingredient in many feedstuffs, the concentration is usually too low to ensure proper development and optimum growth in young animals, especially poultry, pigs and calves, but also cats, dogs and other fur-bearing animals.
CHOLINE CHLORIDE Feed Grade : Recommended Inclusion Level (gm/MT of Feed):
Choline chloride is Free flowing light tannish brown granule an organic compound that's a quaternary ammonium salt, meaning it's made up of choline cations and chloride anions:
Choline chloride is readily biodegradable.
Uses of Choline chloride:
Choline chloride as Feed additive, precursor to acetylcholine, methyl donor in metabolic processes, and lipid metabolism
Feed additive: Used in livestock metabolism
Improves egg production
Deep eutectic solvent (DES) preparation: Choline Chloride can be used to prepare DESs, which are a type of green solvent with low melting point and volatility, high thermal stability, and solubility for various substances.
Biodegradable solvent: Eutectic mixtures of Urea and Choline Chloride have unusual solvent properties, making them useful as a biodegradable solvent at ambient temperatures.
CHOLINE CHLORIDE is an important additive in feed especially for chickens where it accelerates growth. It forms a deep eutectic solvent with urea, ethylene glycol, glycerol, and many other compounds. It is also used as a clay control additive in fluids used for hydraulic fracturing.
