Acetone is systematically named as propanone. It is the organic compound with the formula (CH3)2CO. It is a colorless, volatile, flammable liquid, and is the simplest and smallest ketone.

Butyl Carbitol also called as Diethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether having formula C4H9(OCH2CH2)2OH is a versatile solvent of reaction product between ethylene oxide and n-butanol. Butyl carbitol is a slow-evaporating, hydrophilic glycol ether with excellent coalescing and coupling power.

Applications:

Aluminium Sulfate also called an alum is a water soluble, white colored, crystalline chemical compound with the formula Al2(SO4)3. Aluminium sulfate is used in water purification and as a mordant in dyeing and printing textiles.

Alum is used in industrial and sanitary waste water treatment. Alum is used as a flocculating agent in the purification of drinking water and waste water treatment plants, and also in paper manufacturing.
