Sodium Thiosulfate is a white crystalline solid which is odorless and highly water soluble. Sodium thiosulfate is an important inorganic salt with several medical uses. It is also called sodium hyposulfite or 'hypo'. The chemical formula of sodium thiosulfate is Na2S2O3. Sodium thiosulfate is used in several pharmaceutical preparations and also has various medical properties.

Uses :

Activated Alumina is aluminum oxide in the form of very porous spheres. Activated alumina is useful in cleanup of toxic wastes and rain water runoff from contaminated areas also wash contaminants such as arsenic and lead into ground water from mining operations. Activated alumina can dry air and other gases that have a high humidity therefore it is used for dehydration and purification in the manufacturing of hydrogen peroxide, natural gas and gasoline. 

Formaldehyde is a simple organic compound with the formula CH2O (H-CHO). Formaldehyde is an important precursor to many materials and chemical compounds. Formaldehyde can be useful as a disinfectant as it kills most bacteria and fungi and can preserve the shape of a specimen by bonding with proteins and DNA.

Formaldehyde is used predominantly as a chemical intermediate. It also has minor uses in agriculture, as an analytical reagent, in concrete and plaster additives, cosmetics, disinfectants, fumigants, photography, and wood preservation.
