2-Methylimidazole is an organic compound that is structurally related to imidazole with the chemical formula CH3C3H2N2H. It is a white or colorless solid that is highly soluble in polar organic solvents and water. It is intermediate of metronidazole and fodder growth promoter. It is mainly used as curing accelerator for powder forming and powder coating. It can be used as the curing agent of epoxy resin and dye auxiliaries of fibre textile, as well as additives for the preparation of foam plastics.

tert-butanol also called tert-Butyl alcohol  is a simplest tertiary alcohol, with a formula of (CH3)3COH. tert-Butyl alcohol is a volatile, colorless liquid which forms rhombic crystals when frozen. It has a camphor-like odor. It is miscible in esters and aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, and soluble in water. tert-Butyl alcohol is highly flammable.

Sebacic acid is a naturally occurring dicarboxylic acid with the structure (HOOC)(CH2)8(COOH). Sebacic Acid is a white flake or powdered crystal. It is resolved in ethanol, ether and soluble slightly in water. It is use in the manufacture of candles. Sebacic Acid have a variety of industrial uses as plasticizers, lubricants, hydraulic fluids, cosmetics etc. It is used in the synthesis of polyamide and alkyd resins. Sebacic Acid is also used as an intermediate for aromatics, antiseptics and painting materials.
