Silica gel is a granular, vitreous, porous form of silicon dioxide. Silica gel contains a nano-porous silica micro-structure, suspended inside a liquid. Silica gel is used to absorb moisture and keep things dry. Silica gel is also used to dry the air in industrial compressed air systems. Air from the compressor discharge flows through a bed of silica gel beads. The silica gel adsorbs moisture from the air, preventing damage at the point of use of the compressed air due to condensation or moisture.

Hydrogen peroxide is a colourless, non flammable, water soluble liquid used as a bleaching agent with formula H2O2. Hydrogen peroxide is a very useful chemical because it can act as both a reducing agent as well as an oxidizing agent. Hydrogen peroxide is used in certain waste-water treatment processes to remove organic impurities, for the sterilization of various surfaces, including surgical tools and various domestic uses. It demonstrates broad-spectrum efficacy against viruses, bacteria, yeasts, and bacterial spores.

Aluminium sulfate also called an alum is a water soluble, white colored, crystalline chemical compound with the  formula  Al2(SO4)3. Alum is used in industrial and sanitary waste water treatment. Alum is used as a flocculating agent in the purification of drinking water and waste water treatment plants, and also in paper manufacturing. Alum removes unwanted colour and turbidity from water supplies. Alum when added to raw water reacts with the bicarbonate alkalinities present in water and forms a gelatinous precipitate.
