Caustic Potash Flakes is also called as Potassium Hydroxide. The chemical formula is KOH and it is colorless solid with prototypical strong base.

KOH typically contains varying amounts of water. Its dissolution in water is strongly exothermic. Concentrated aqueous solutions are sometimes called potassium lyes. Even at high temperatures, solid KOH does not dehydrate readily.

Caustic Soda Flake, also known as lye and Sodium Hydroxide, is corrosive and non-flammable, odorless inorganic compound with the formula NaOH. It is a white solid ionic compound consisting of sodium cations Na+ and hydroxide anions OH-.

Sodium hydroxide is a highly caustic base and alkali that decomposes proteins at ordinary ambient temperatures and may cause severe chemical burns. It is highly soluble in water, and readily absorbs moisture and carbon dioxide from the air.

Caustic Soda Prills are used as a strong base in the manufacture of chemicals and products such as pulp, textiles, drinking water, soaps and detergents. Anhydrous caustic soda NaOH is converted into a solid state by an evaporation process in several steps and is available as prills or flakes.
